FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
EVCC Communication Controller – Frequently Asked Questions
EVCC stands for Electric Vehicle Communication Controller. It is installed on the vehicle side and exchanges charging messages with the charging station’s SECC.
EVCC is the vehicle-side communication controller, while SECC is installed on the charging station. The two communicate during compatible CCS charging sessions.
The original EVCC product specifications list IEC 61851, DIN 70121 and ISO 15118 among its communication standards. Confirm exact protocol versions for the selected firmware before ordering.
The listed EVCC hardware provides two CAN interfaces. Integration to BMS and OBC depends on the corresponding CAN communication protocols and vehicle architecture.
The product page specifies VIN 9–28V and lists BMS wake-up support using 12V / 24V power.
The listed EVCC model PCR_EVCC_CSS_V3.9 measures 102 × 99 × 31 mm and carries an IP67 protection rating according to the published specifications.
Yes. The original specifications list ADC sampling for plug-in detection and message-printing support for engineering work.
The original product table states an upgrade method of USB or CA. The required firmware and flashing interface should be confirmed before deployment.
Applications discussed by Share Charging include passenger vehicles, electric buses, commercial fleets, special vehicles and energy-storage systems. Integration must be validated for each vehicle and charging interface.
Send your vehicle type, charging inlet standard, market, BMS/OBC CAN protocols, required ISO 15118 functionality and estimated quantity. Share Charging can review the appropriate EVCC configuration.
